Pioneer is a small steam launch and was built in 1988 by Ian Miles. The hull is a Falmouth Oyster Punt and the engine is a Stuart Turner 5A.
She was first steamed at Dartmouth Regatta in 1989 she was overhauled in 2019 by the current owner Dave Biss, which included fitting a new boiler as Ian had removed the original one to power his brewery!
Pioneer’s home water is the River Tamar.
