Irene of Bridgwater

Irene is a west country trading ketch built in Bridgewater, Somerset in 1907 to carry bricks and other products to the ports and harbours of the west country.

Used for a while as home on the Hamble by Dr Morrish, she was renovated and returned to sail.

Whilst in the Caribbean she was burned to the waterline. The remains were towed back to the UK and she was rebuilt yet again. This year she will be under the flag of Turn To Starboard and will serve as the Committee Boat for the three races.
