Built by F Hitchens at Point in 1900 for Edward Green, a replacement for his previous boat Mabel.
Softwing is a Truro River Oyster Dredger and in later ownership by Robin Vinnicombe was used for dredging in the winter and shark fishing in the summer.
She is now owned by the Cornish Maritime Trust – charity no: 1037745.
