Minx

Minx is a 32ft LOA Morecambe Bay Prawner with a GRP hull that was formed by Eric Berqvist at Fiddlers Ferry on the River Dee near Chester. She is one of about twelve hulls formed from a mould taken from the William Priestly built by Crossfields of Arnside. The William Priestly served as the Morecambe Bay Fishermen’s Associations lifeboat until 1989 when the RNLI took over the service.

She was fitted out by Pete and Rosie Tomlinson in Bristol and active for her early life in the OGA Bristol Channel area. She subsequently moved on and had a period of neglect in the Solent. Paul and Penny Jolley found her in need of refit and renovation at Cobb’s Quay, Poole. Over the last five years a progressive renovation and refit has been undertaken at her current home port of Brixham and ashore by the Dart in the winter.
