Built at Gloant on the River Fowey by John Fuge with assistance from Peter Williams and Ted Luck to a design by Roger Dongray. Lunched in 1992, Mary Ritchie was influenced by Falmouth Working Boats and Quay Punts. Of carvel construction, planking is pitch pine on oak frames. Following launch she spent 22 years on the East Coast where she raced successfully in club and East Coast Old Gaffers events as well as the Dutch Classics. She cruised regularly on the East coast and visited the Ijssel Meer. In 2013 she sailed to the Helford and has participated in several Falmouth Classics and South West Gaffer events as well as sailing to Brittany to particpate in events at Brest and Douarnenez. She has been in the same ownership since launch.
