Previously owned by David Rickett and named ‘Lucy Claire’, the Heard 28 now know as Freydis (female Viking princess daughter of Eric the Red) is a first timer to the Falmouth classics after the new owner Kristian Butler upgraded from his Heard 20 ‘Morwennel’.
The vessels hull was produced by West County Gaffers and fitted out by Martian Heard shortly after at Gaffers and Luggers in Mylor Bridge. She boasts all of th beautiful looks of the 28 with a very spacious layout below. This year Kristian’s father Peter has hand built a skylight for the coach roof lending to an almost pilot cutter feel inside.
Kristian is once again celebrating his birthday at the classics, so watch out for more bikini clad blokes partying their way around the course.
